Over the last 17 years I have gained vast amounts of expedition experience while running my own trips as well as working for numerous other companies. Companies often employ me as their expedition guide. But besides being in charge of the group I am also responsible for much of the pre-departure planning process. 

 

Having run my own climbing expedition company, I understand the importance of the finer details that go into each stage of an expedition life cycle. I can consult and offer assistance for any phase of an expedition, such as researching, designing, organising, leading or managing operations. The expeditions I have led and organised have covered every imaginable style, objective and length. The durations have ranged from 1 week to over 1.5 years in length.  I have guided diverse groups from many different backgrounds; explorers, bespoke high-end clients, charity teams, groups of young school students and  world class climbers. The style of my expeditions have varied from:

• Exploratory rock climbing trips -  Establishing new routes in far flung corners of the globe.

• Exploratory river expeditions - Using rafts and packrafts as a means of travel. Gaining first descents of numerous rivers.

• Desert crossings - Immersing team members into cultures seemingly forgotten during arduous desert crossings.
