DAVE LUCAS

As a TV Safety Consultant, I advise projects and television productions in the management of risk and health & safety. Locations are often across remote, challenging and sometimes unexplored environments. With over a decade of in-field experience gained over 28 years of work. As a lead safety advisor I manage teams of world class experts in their field. Generating and implementing comprehensive risk assessments, safety plans and protocols. Guiding productions to achieve complex editorial goals in some of the harshest desert, mountain, jungle, river and high altitude environments on the planet.

 

I am a highly experienced rope and swift-water technician and am

competent and creative in the facilitation of challenges and stunt-based scenes.  These skills in addition to my experience as a field producer, have enabled me to contribute to the development of exciting content for National Geographic, Disney, and Apple TV.

 

So far in my career I have traveled the length of 4 continents visiting over 110 countries. I am a fellow of the Royal Geographic society and have presented several inspirational talks at UK events. Film footage of my own adventures has been shown on National Geographic and Sky TV, with printed accounts in five books and numerous magazine publications.  Outside of TV work I have supported high profile A-list celebrities, developmental projects and continue to lead exploratory climbing and river expeditions around the world.
